With almost 200 operational projects and 6.5 GW under control on three continents, Ingelectus is positioned as an international leader in the control of renewable plants thanks to its certified Plant Power Controller (PPC), which has already become a technological benchmark for the new global energy model.
Currently, more than 180 plants have Ingelectus’ inPPC system installed in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru and Chile. In addition, the company is developing new projects in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Croatia and Romania.
At the forefront of the sector, Ingelectus also leads the deployment of hybrid plants with its inMPPC solution, capable of coordinating multiple generation and storage technologies to ensure compliance with the grid code. The company operates 12 hybrid projects, with technological combinations such as Wind + PV (wind and photovoltaic energy), PV + BESS (solar and batteries) and Wind + Wind (two wind farms integrated under a single control system). Together, they manage 680 MW of wind power, 450 MW of photovoltaic power and 300 MW of batteries in this type of hybrid project.
David Señas Sanvicente, product director in the Renewables area at Ingelectus, highlights that ‘with nearly 200 plants in operation in Europe, Latin America and North America, Ingelectus plant controllers are expanding into the future of renewables: hybrid plants with storage, necessary for the global energy transition.’
As part of its activity, Ingelectus is also committed to research, development and innovation (R&D&I) in renewable plant control. It is currently developing the IN-AGS project, focused on the design, implementation and validation of advanced grid support functionalities. Among the functionalities being developed, the following stand out: power oscillation damping (POD) control, inertia emulation and adaptive voltage controls, functionalities that are becoming key in electrical systems with high renewable energy penetration.
With over a decade of experience and a multidisciplinary team specialising in electrical engineering, telecommunications, IT and energy, Ingelectus develops cutting-edge technology for a more efficient, intelligent and sustainable electricity grid. In the coming months, the company will continue to expand its international presence with new hybrid projects in America and Eastern Europe, consolidating its role as a leading technology partner in the energy transition.
