The technology company Ingelectus is actively involved in the eCitySevilla project, which aims to develop a sustainable urban model on the island of La Cartuja, scheduled to be completed by 2025. At the Annual Assembly, held last 26 October in Seville, Ingelectus contributed its vision and actions related to the decarbonisation of the Cartuja Science and Technology Park and shared the floor with various companies and organisations participating in the project, as well as government representatives and leading figures from the energy sector.
Rubén Carmona Pardo, Head of Data Analytics at Ingelectus, spoke about the company’s contribution to increasing knowledge and the digitalisation of the electricity distribution network, particularly through the implementation of the pilot project of the Ingrid Platform in Endesa’s low-voltage distribution network on the island of La Cartuja. “The Ingrid project is a key initiative on the road towards decarbonisation. It is based on the application of state-of-the-art technologies, including artificial intelligence, to create an electrical digital twin of the low-voltage network,” he explained. He also reported that “this tool helps distribution system operators gain a detailed and accurate view of network capacity, which is essential to achieving the eCitySevilla project’s targets in terms of photovoltaic connections and the promotion of e-mobility.”
The meeting was attended by prominent figures such as Álvaro Pimentel Siles, Delegate for the Cartuja Area of Seville City Council; Francisco Javier Ramírez, Managing Director of the Andalusian Energy Agency; Rafael Sánchez Durán, General Manager of Endesa for Andalusia and Extremadura; and Luis Pérez Díaz, General Manager of PCT Cartuja. The event also brought together other partner companies, such as BIREN, Urbantech Titania and Celering.
“Ingelectus’ participation in this initiative demonstrates our commitment to innovation and sustainable development in the energy sector. Through the Ingrid Platform and collaboration with other companies and organisations, we are actively working to deliver on the mission launched from the Andalusian capital,” concluded Rubén Carmona Pardo.
