Ingelectus has attended the session 2024 of the international congress CIGRE that has taken place in the Palais des Congrès in Paris (France) from 25th to 30th August.
Celebrated every two years, CIGRE is one of the most important global events on electrical systems with almost 1 200 posters and numerous workshops and tutorials presented, with a wide participation of the main actors of the sector.
Daniel Morales Wagner, CEO of Ingelectus, and Iván Fernández Valencia, Smart Grids specialist engineer, traveled to the French city to learn about the latest developments in the sector, acquire new knowledge and establish and strengthen key relationships within the global energy community.
Morales and Fernández attended various activities of interest such as a workshop on the aggregation of energy storage in batteries and distributed energy resources or a workshop on the book Power Systems Dynamic Modelling and Analysis in Evolving Networks, where the authors aim to collect standard procedures and methodologies for the modeling and analysis of events in power systems
‘This congress has helped us to learn about key trends and draw conclusions that will undoubtedly help Ingelectus in its development. For example, we had the chance to think about how control algorithms will be key to enable the functionalities expected from the connection of renewables or storage through power electronics, or that, in the near future, 50% of generation will be connected to the distribution network and this is a challenge for DSOs (Distribution System Operators),’ said Morales.
The CEO of Ingelectus has also highlighted that the experience lived in CIGRE has been enriching in all aspects, so the intention of the firm is to participate in future editions of this biannual congress of international reference.
