Daniel Morales Wagner, CEO of Ingelectus, participated in the 8th edition of the Mentoring Programme of Excellence, an initiative organised by Mujer e Ingeniería (Women and Engineering) which this year celebrated its first edition with the University of Seville. This edition saw the participation of nearly twenty female students in the final years of their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, physics and mathematics at the Seville university, as well as ten companies from the engineering and industrial sectors.
The closing ceremony for this programme took place on 12 September at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville (ETSi). This event, which was also organised by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAING), was presided over by Andrés Sáez Pérez, director of the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville. The ceremony was also attended by Jaime Domínguez Abascal, president of the RAING, Sara Gómez Martín, director of the ‘Women and Engineering’ Project at the RAING, and Catalina Gómez Quiles, director of the Secretariat for Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship at the University of Seville.
From February to September, Morales, as a participant in this programme, held sessions and meetings with Ana Trujillo Trasmonte, a graduate in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Seville. “The experience as a mentor has been very enriching. Listening to Ana’s concerns has allowed me to understand the vision of the future that young women have today and to reflect on my role as a company executive,” Morales said after the session.
About the Mentoring Programme of Excellence
The main objective of the programme has been to offer students a clear and practical overview of the skills and abilities currently demanded by the job market, as well as providing them with an opportunity to become aware of their individual talents and abilities, discovering how to enhance them in their future professional careers.
